Bushy Hill Programs

Bushy Hill offers a wide range of professional programming for children of all ages. The educated, enthusiastic and talented staff has been providing programs and services to schools, scout groups and civic organizations for over 30 years.

Our facilities include a wigwam site, tipi site, archery range, spring fed lake, activity center and pavilion for lunch, high and low ropes course, and 700+ acres of woodlands, meadows, and wetlands. Our Nature Center includes hands-on displays, museum quality replicas, classroom space, live animal exhibits and a gift shop.
School programs work together with the CORE, NGSS and Connecticut Science Curriculum Standards to meet goals and expectations for the classroom. Classes are offered here as well as at schools. Our certified staff travels to schools across Connecticut to deliver programming in the classroom as well as parks and other sites.

The young naturalist homeschool program gives a chance for students to explore the outdoors and participate in cooperative games and activities. The classes are split into three focuses including environmental studies, teambuilding, and indigenous studies.
*Note: Our homeschool program is currently on hold as we restructure our offerings.
