Geode Rockin’ Afternoon, Kid Edition (ages 6-14)

Geode - AdultElementary/Middle School aged students (grades 1-8 advised) are invited to join Ron Nemeth when he brings a collection of Las Choyas Coconut Geodes and Trancas Geodes for participants to crack open and discover the treasure each holds inside. Learn how these beautiful rocks and crystals formed millions of years ago and what it takes to harvest them from the Earth’s crust.

*Registration required. Seating limited to 12 participants.

BONUS FREE PROGRAM: Come by earlier to meet our resident reptiles from 1:00-2:00 when Ron teaches “Reptiles with Ron” before the geodes class!

When: Sunday, November 10th 2:15pm – 3:00pm

Price*: $15 for the first geode, $10 for each additional geode. Includes geode, tools and materials, and a surprise geology-related gift!
Please pay by cash or check at the door. Checks should be made out to Ron Nemeth.

*Price per participating person; visitors who are not cracking a geode are welcome to attend for free.
