Range/Habitat: Painted turtles are found commonly across North America both Canada and the US. They prefer ponds, lakes, and marshes with slow-moving or still water that have muddy bottoms.

Diet: Painted turtles will feed on a wide variety of both aquatic plant and animal matter.

Expected Lifespan: Painted turtles can live over 55 years!
