Diet: Milk snakes are carnivores, they eat a wide variety of prey like small mammals and birds. Milk snakes can be powerful constrictors to their prey.
Expected Lifespan: The lifespan of wild milk snakes is currently unknown but in captivity, milk snakes are known to live over 20 years.
Fun Facts:
- Milk snakes are non-venomous.
- They use Batesian mimicry as a defensive strategy, looking like venomous snakes like coral snakes and copperheads.
- In captivity our milk snake eats small rodents.
