Bushy Hill Nature Center a
non-sectarian part of the Incarnation Center, is located on 700
beautifully forested acres encompassing, parts of Deep River and Ivoryton,
CT. For over 25 years, we have provided several types of programs throughout the year, many
of which are geared toward school-aged children. We specialize, however,
in helping people of all ages develop a strong connection to and reverence
for our natural world. |
|

Our grounds include beautiful
forests, active wetlands, and miles of hiking trails.
There are winding streams, hidden ponds, rocky ridges and caves
waiting to be discovered. There is a mile long spring fed
lake in which summer campers can swim under the supervision of
certified life guards. For over 15 years we have been
sharing our natural world with children. |

Carol, mother of 2 campers,
says "At Bushy Hill my children are learning about nature,
playing fun games, making new friends, hiking through the woods,
swimming and getting dirty. There is no place they would
rather be." |

Bushy Hill Nature Center Staff is what makes us so
unique! All Bushy Hill staff members undergo an extensive
application and training process to gain employment. Our summer
team is comprised of active, intelligent, and enthusiastic
people. We strive to employ people who currently teach in school
systems or who would someday teach in school systems. We also
love the opportunity to hire "home-grown" talent - people who
have started out as campers and have "grown up" in the Bushy
Hill system. The Bushy Hill staff is amazing. Come see for
yourself.
